Like so many manufacturing concerns all over the world, RAILTIQUE started out as a hobby for Kobus Snyman, its current owner, during the early 1980's. Popluar demand, hard work and careful financial management, allowed the company to grow to it's current size.
RAILTIQUE now manufactures elegant furniture from old, recovered railway sleepers. After decades of exposure to the harshest of elements, these solid pieces of wood are given a new future in the luxury of your home.
All pieces are craftfully manufactured in the RAILTIQUE factory in the Stikland Industrial park, near Cape Town. Understandable, given the rough and hard nature of the materials, the factory features mammoth pieces of machinery, some of which were purpose-built.
Proof of their quality and craftsmanship, is the fact that the company has been supplying one of the leading groups of furniture stores in the Western Cape since 1990.
